Use and care

LUYA:

Your Luya jewelry is a precious and delicate piece. With proper care and maintenance, you can preserve its beauty for years to come.

  • You should clean your jewelry regularly. To do this, you can use a very soft brush with water and baking soda (you can buy it at any pharmacy) and complement this by polishing it with a silver/gold cleaning cloth (you can buy it at jewelry stores).
  • Consider removing your jewelry before going to sleep, exercising, washing your hands, and using corrosive products. Avoid contact with fragrances, alcohol, cosmetics, ammonia, seawater, and chlorine, and keep your jewelry away from intense heat and extreme temperature changes.
  • Prevent damage and loss to your jewelry by storing each piece individually in its original case or pouch when you take it off, as contact with other jewelry can cause scratches. Chains should be closed and stored flat to prevent tangling.
  • If the jewelry is damaged, the stone settings may need to be checked. Avoid forcing clasps, fastenings, and mountings, and make sure the clasp and safety mechanism close properly. If you have any doubts, do not wear the jewelry until it has been inspected by an expert.
